Ingredients

·         12 oz fettuccine pasta

·         1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

·         4 tablespoons unsalted butter

·         4 cloves garlic, minced

·         1 cup heavy cream

·         1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

·         ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

·         ¼ teaspoon black pepper

·         ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

·         2 tablespoons olive oil

·         2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

·         1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

1.      Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.

2.      Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season shrimp with salt and pepper. Cook 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

3.      Melt butter in the same skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

4.      Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently. Gradually whisk in Parmesan until smooth. Adjust thickness with reserved pasta water. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.

5.      Add cooked fettuccine to the sauce and toss. Return shrimp to the skillet and mix gently.

6.      Garnish with parsley and lemon juice. Serve hot.

Notes

·         Use high-quality shrimp for best flavor and texture.

·         Adjust cream and Parmesan to achieve your preferred sauce consistency.

·         Add vegetables like broccoli or spinach for extra nutrition.

·         Reheat gently to prevent sauce separation.
